Biography of Dr. Katie Silverman
Katie Silverman, PhD
Katie Silverman, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Early Childhood Program, School of Education, at University of Michigan, Dearborn (UMD). She teaches courses on child development, developmental assessment, children with special needs, and intervention strategies in special education. She is currently part of a collaborative effort joining the UMD’s Child Development Center and Oakwood Program for Exceptional Families, which serves children with disabilities and their families. Prior to her position at UMD, she was coordinator of the Healthy Steps for Young Children Program in Pediatric Residency at University of Illinois at Chicago.
