Biography of Honey Jacobs Skinner

Ms. Skinner is a health care partner at Sidley Austin LLP. She focuses her pratice on the representation of health care providers before government agencies both in Springfield and Washington, D.C. In particular, she assists hospitals, health systems, and physician practices in gaining government approval for the expansion of their services and in connection with their efforts to achieve more equitable Medicaid reimbursement. Ms. Skinner is a graduate of Harvard College and Northwestern University School of Law. She served as Parliamentarian for the Illinois House of Representatives and as Counsel to Michael J. Madigan, Speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives. Ms. Skinner is actively involved in a variety of civic endeavors, and serves as a director of the Chicago Area Foundation for Legal Services and a director of the Northern Funds.
