Neuro Developmental Training

The goal of Neuro-Developmental treatment (NDT) is to improve movement control for children with neurological differences and motor difficulties. Once they have completed NDT training, occupational, physical and speech therapists can incorporate this program into their therapies to help children gain independence.
NDT has been shown to improve a child’s ability to function as well as decrease the need for therapy in the future. A Neuro-Developmental program includes an in-depth evaluation by occupational, physical and speech therapists so that specific difficulties can be determined and an accurate treatment schedule can be developed. NDT includes the child and family members in all aspects of treatment, including assessment, planning, and application.
